Anil Kapoor has not only ruled the Bollywood industry with his ‘Jhakaaas’ performance, but he also joins the list of actors who have contributed to the Hollywood industry by working in two super hit films Slumdog Millionaire and Tom Cruise starrer Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol.
The actor who is now awaiting the release of his upcoming film JugJug Jeeyo, now reveals that he was offered a role in the world’s biggest franchise film but he ended up declining. Read on to the reason!
Recently, during a promotional interview for Anil Kapoor‘s upcoming movie JuggJug Jeeyo, the actor recalled an old incident where he decided not to play a role in a big-time Hollywood movie. Even though the actor did not mention the name of the movie, he did mention that it was a part of a very big franchise and that the director himself called Anil to take part in the movie.
During a conversation with Film Companion, Anil Kapoor revealed rejecting a big-league film. He said, “The biggest franchise in the world, I can’t name it, has been offered to me; but it had just two days of work. So, I read the scene. Ek toh mere ko scene samajh mein nahi aya kya tha. (I did not understand what was happening in the scene). Then the director of that franchise called me up, and said that ‘I want you to do it’. The entire foreign set of friends of mine said that ‘if you can have this film in your resume, then that’s enough’.”
The actor also added, “I said (to his friends) I am not going to do it. Ek toh mere ko scene hi samajh nahi aaya (I did not understand the scene narrated to me), and then if I go wrong that day, I will be exposed all over the planet.”
