Food review – The Parsi Food festival at Hotel Sahara Star

Hotel Sahara Star has emerged as a trendsetter of sorts for hosting various pop-ups every month. The flavour of this month is the Parsi Food festival.

Parsi food has some amazing flavours, coupled with innovativeness and taste that lingers only for long. Our visit was worthy since we got an opportunity to sample to some unusual and new dishes curated by Chef Firdaus Batlivala.

You can view a visual treat of the dishes we sampled. Besides the Parsi food, diners also have the privilege to feast on the lavish buffet which is part of the restaurant.

There is a limited range of the traditional starters which are iconic of the Parsi cuisine. The main course is amazing, just make sure you have it piping hot. They also served us some Pallonji’s Soda varieties which revive childhood memories. The dessert counter has the traditional Parsi desserts which one can savour at a Parsi wedding.

The menu keeps changing on a daily basis, somehow we missed the famous Patra nu machhi.

Overall a good experience, the restaurant had crowds savouring the Parsi meals and relishing the flavours. The buffet is priced at Rs. 2500.00 plus taxes and the food festival is operative till 31st August 2019.

If you haven’t tried the Parsi cuisine so far, it’s your best bet to indulge with the flavours.
