Food Review – Vortex – Bandra Rating – 4 stars
For all the Mumbai Foodies out there, there is nothing in this whole wide world that can give you as much happiness as food can. Food is often referred to an individual’s best friend in this world of instability. My recent visit to “VORTEX” at Linking Road, (Bandra West), was definitely a satiating experience.
With the cool, breezy weather at night, we chose to sit at their rooftop section. Spacious and articulately furnished, the space is good enough for a gang of foodies who wanna party in their groups.
What I definitely loved were the amazing signature cocktails which I kept trying one (tried at least 5 of them) after the other. Quite an amazing collection they have to choose from. The specially curated menu dished out to us was definitely mouth-watering and tasty.
What we ordered:
Mutton Galouti kebab – A truly melt-in-your-mouth creation which got back memories of having authentic Lucknowi kebabs
Banno kebab – Truly amazing. Much better than the chicken malai tikka that’s obscurely served in most places.
Atlantic salmon – For all those fish lovers, this was a true masterpiece. The flaky toppings added a new dimension to the flavours. The fish was soft and had subtle flavours. An ideal match with your drinks.
Tamatar dhaniya shorba – A tangy, soothing shorba will changes the flavours for your taste buds as you get ready to have the main course.
Biryani – You cannot miss the rich, aromatic flavours of the spices and tinge of saffron.
Nalli nihari – You will love the gravy and the soft mutton. Missed a bit of the spice element though.
The service was great, loved the ambience and of course the meals and the scintillating cocktails.
