For sure, the Global food fusion trend has hit the Mumbai hospitality with a big bang. And I proudly announce that the ‘flavour pairings with a wild twist’ award goes to TIPSY GYPSY.
I may have tasted exquisite tastes earlier but my outing at Tipsy Gypsy gave a head-on HIGH more on the flavours. A big pat on the back for Executive Chef Dev Singh Negi and his team for conjuring up such a tantalizing and titillating menu. Kudos and a Big Salute!
What I ordered and tasted with a bunch of Mumbai Foodies:
Chana Mereya – definitely a ‘maar daala’ must try.
Hot rod chicken – Hope I got the right name, but the satay chicken sticks were a feast.
Ghostbuster – roll it on while you have a cocktail in your other hand!
Cheese poppers – not so much of a veggie, but nice!
Fishto – absolute Divine, you won’t be content with one serving. The margination is lip-smacking.
For the drinks, I would recommend the hot-selling Smoked Long Island Ice Tea. It’s a massive one which I saw some diners sharing and having sips for long. I also sampled the Devil’s Kiss, Double O7, Sling Fling. While learning more on the cocktails concoctions with the Head Mixologist Nupur Joshi, she insisted that I must try ‘one for the road’ creation called Mind Wipe. I really loved this one with its just-right ginger base. Must say the mixologist knows how to not just mix the right ingredients but also give the ultimate nouveau flavour you never had expected to taste.
Now for the ones with a sweet tooth, a must order and sampling of the Beetroot rosgulla is a whole new set of flavor combinations that make sense. Definitely something you will love, cherish and want more!
